About Us
Who are we?
Sasthapools Swimming Academy (SSA) was established in 2008, and is a pioneer in Indo-American swimming techniques and offers Learn to Swim programs in Bangalore. Since the launch of our first center, we have successfully taught thousands of children, teenagers, and adults how to swim using ASCA (American Coaches Association) methods, which focus on health, safety, fun, and fitness, as well as competitive swimming. Our specialty is small group instruction led by experienced and trained instructors. At SSA, the safety and maximum learning of our students is our top priority.
Our FOunder
Mr. Ratheesh Raveendran
Ratheesh is a highly accomplished swimming coach and competitor, with a wealth of experience in the field. He currently serves as the National Coach of All India ICSE & ISC Schools for SGFI (CISCE) from 2018-2020 and Present Karnataka State Coach of ICSE & ISC Schools from 2018-2020. He has led the team from Karnataka as a coach in ICSE & ISC Schools national swim meet and they won the overall championship in 2019 at Bangalore and in the first time at the National swim meet held Valsad, Gujarat 2018. Prior to this, he served as the Karnataka state ICSE & ISC Schools swimming coordinator from 2011-2014.
Ratheesh has also represented the Indian swimming team in several international competitions, including the World Masters swimming championship in Montreal, Canada in 2015, where he secured 72nd world ranking in 50 mtr Breast stroke. He also represented the Indian swimming team at the World Masters swimming championship at Richonne, Italy in 2012, where he secured 254th world ranking in 50 mtr Breast stroke event and part of Indian team Europe Trip. He is an internationally certified swimming coach from ASCA (American swimming coaches association).
In addition to his coaching achievements, Ratheesh has also had a successful career as a swimmer, winning more than 30 medals in Karnataka state level meets and Representing Team Karnataka 5 times in National swim meets and winning 14 medals with the national record. He has also won more than 40 medals in Kerala state level meets and Represented Team Kerala 4 times in National swim meets and won 10 National medals.
Ratheesh is also a member of the Karnataka Swimming Association (KSA) Technical official and the founder and managing Director of Sasthapools Swimming Academy (SSA), Bangalore.
